marauding? ...i think "robbery" is a much more literal translation.
(am russian too, by the way. i just hate typing in russian, since i'm much more used to an english keyboard.)

translation for those who don't speak russian
to be honest, i'm not that familiar with the historical context here. on top of that, my english is likely better than my russian (that said, i apologize in advance for possible bad spelling).
though i'm familiar with the word "marauding" [in russian], i have not heard it used often in russian, and don't use it myself. so i can't be certain i understand it correctly -- or why it may be more appropriate here.
in other words: you're probably right.
...i just know that, in my experience, it's rarely used in english -- being somewhat old-fashioned. (but then again, i'm no linguist.)
reminds me on nazi germany. hanged for buying in jewish shops. damn why am i born in germany.
Germany is a great country. YOu are born there and like you are because your parents wnate dto change the history, to change the future and to offer Germany new generations to swip all the dark and horrible recent past and to build new country : and you did it ! I am so impressed by the way german people decided to look for peace and economy, to settle Europe and a peacefull nest in the middle of the old Europe. I am impressed by the maturity of your country. And feel today very safe to have your country by our side in Europe, as we have England, SPain etc... YOur country has a great history, but even if it was involved in the darkest side of Europe history, nobody can tell today that this is a bad country or even that you should feel guilty for the past : you just have to stay like you are : proud to be german and very aware of the past, very carrefull for the future as we all always should be. so as long as there are people like you we have nothing to fear ;)
O really? I think its nice for you are)

heh, yeah. that's why i included a handy translation in my other comment (see above).
...but honestly, i have to search out every single letter on the keyboard when i try to type in russian. it is a pain, i must tell you. :P | |
